I Cannot See The Sun
Spiritual Analogy
Before I went for a walk one morning, I first looked outside to check the weather. It appeared to be a bright, sunny day, which made me happy. I opened the front door of my ranch house, walked down the wooden steps, and strolled slowly down the dirt driveway. I looked to the east, but I realized I couldn’t see the sun at all that morning because the sky was so overcast. I felt a little disappointed and thought to myself, “How can it look so sunny and bright out when I can’t even see the sun.”
Then this analogy came to me.
Even though I can’t see the Son of God, I still can see His Light all around me.
New understandings suddenly filled my mind. Whether the sun is hidden by overcast skies or the Son is hidden by a spiritual veil, I am still able to see my physical path clearly because of the sun’s bright light and my spiritual path because of the Son’s bright Light.
Jesus Christ once said, “I am the way, the truth, and the light” (John 14:6).
Yes.
And the Son’s Light is just as real as the sun’s light.
